Happy Birthday, Kaci!
Kaci hit the big "8" on Sept. 7.
She is our first welsh, and mother of Truman, Cayton, Brody & Dugan.
First and foremost, she is the
Queen of Mischief,
irrepressibly curious, alert and smarter than the rest put together!
The wait was over right on schedule! Sept 10 we welcomed 10 puppies from Kyra, sired by Filson!!! Wow! 2 1/2 weeks later all are growing and healthy!

This is a 2nd Generation, Chilled semen via Surgical insemination litter!

X-ray today shows we have a passel of puppies coming!
It can be hard to see, but if you stare at the image below for awhile you can see spines & skulls.
Kyra is due about Sep. 9 or 10.
How many would you guess?
Kyra's expanding belly at just shy of 7 weeks -
canine pregnancy is 9 weeks.

The baby humingbirds now look very much like their mother and are about ready to fledge. They no longer fit down in the tiny nest.
What you see is the nest, attached to the twigs of a shrub under an overhang of my house. The two beaks are pointed almost straight up, the throat on the right is white so she is a female and you can just see her eye next to the twig. She was the larger of the two and left about 3 days after this photo
and he left the next day.
